Getting ready to head out to do some errands before work and I just saw that Amazon has The Nutcracker: Complete Ballet on sale for 1.99USD today! woot!

And, OMG! I don't know how i missed this but Hulu as S1&2 of The Greatest American Hero AND WISEGUY S1!!!!!!! SONNY!!! VINNY!!!!

Saw over at Massively.com that a place called the Virtual Worlds Observatory has a new study about the "perceptions of gender in online games and the reality behind it."

"Utilizing EverQuest II, the study uses a sample size of over 7,000 players to measure player interactions along gender lines and learn more about the gamers behind the keyboards. Surprisingly enough, while males exhibited predicted aggressiveness and achievement-oriented gameplay, it was the female gamers that exhibited more "hardcore" behavior. The top 10% of male gamers only played an average of 48 hours a week, while the top 10% of female gamers played an average of 56 hours a week. Yet, during the study, females under-reported their playing habits more than male gamers, as if unconsciously reacting to a stereotype."

For me, one of the downsides to being sick is that after a few days all the meds I take make me crash so then i'm EARLY the next day. Last night was one of them nights.

In other news, Hulu has some Mystery Science Theater 3000 eps up!! *me does happy dance*

Of note to my fellow steampunkers, NPR had a show about scientist actually building a couple of version's of Charles Babbage's Difference Engine. Here's a video about it. Pretty cool!

+ washed Momo
+ fed and watered all the dogs
+ cleaned out the tub
+ done the dishes
+ continued the work on organizing my SL inventory
+ started research for the steampunk RPG I'm doing in Googlewave
+ plurked
+ made breakfast and lunch
+ Put together my outfit for tonight's Military Outfit theme night at LOD

Things left to do:

+ get out The Skinny Newsletter
+ host at LOD from 6pm to 8pm SLT
+ Finish supper

Yesterday was one of the best holiday's I've had in years. The boys were relatively well behaved, the food was yummy, and I hosted at LOD for the entire 4 hours they were open. *boogies*

I didn't say it yesterday, but I'm thankful for my family and friends who make my life a good place to be. <3's everyone!
